The Nightmare of a Flea Infestation
Fleas are incredibly resilient parasites. If your dog or cat brings just a few fleas inside, they can quickly lay hundreds of eggs in your carpets, rugs, and furniture. Once the eggs hatch, the larvae spin protective cocoons (pupae) that are highly resistant to over-the-counter bug bombs and sprays.
Flea bites cause intense itching, allergic reactions in pets, and can even transmit tapeworms. Vacuuming alone is not enough to eliminate a full-blown infestation.
Our Comprehensive Flea Eradication Process
Flea control requires a partnership between the homeowner and the exterminator.
- Preparation (Homeowner): Before we arrive, you must thoroughly vacuum all floors, carpets, and furniture, and wash all pet bedding in hot water. Vacuuming stimulates the protected pupae to hatch, making them vulnerable to our treatment.
- Adulticide Treatment: We apply a professional-grade residual insecticide to all carpets, rugs, baseboards, and upholstered furniture to instantly kill adult and larval fleas.
- Insect Growth Regulators (IGR): Crucially, we mix an IGR into our treatment. This prevents any surviving flea eggs or larvae from maturing into biting, reproducing adults, effectively breaking the life cycle permanently.
